The SEVANATHA field team, engaged in conducting the Colombo Settlements Survey has almost completed the Field Data Collection Activities covering over 1000 underserved settlements in the City of Colombo. The data is being cleaned and verified prior to data entry for further analysis by paying attention to the profiles of previous years 2002 and 2012. Accordingly, the settlement list of 2012 has been updated by gathering new information related to the social, economic, and physical aspects of each settlement along with quantitative data and qualitative information regarding the positive and negative externalities as perceived by the communities.
